CHANCE — Chance to Give — is a nonprofit built on a simple swap: instead of asking students to donate money they do not have, it asks them to donate the thing they do have, which is time. Volunteers teach basic education to children from underprivileged backgrounds, and the organisation exists to make that exchange easy to join.
I volunteered with CHANCE between November 2020 and August 2021. I taught, and I did the design work: the logo and visual identity, and the digital content that carried the campaigns on Instagram — the posts that explained what the classes were, asked for volunteers, and kept the people already teaching in touch with each other.
It ran through the pandemic, which shaped what it did: classes moved online, and the work sat alongside a Covid care effort and a book drive. English, maths and computer classes were the constant.

What I did
Taught. Basic education — English, maths, computers — to children from a range of backgrounds, most of whom had no other access to it.
Designed the identity. The logo: the word set in a plain square, held inside a ring of colour. The square is deliberately ordinary — a school exercise book, a blackboard, a form to fill in — and the ring around it is everyone the organisation reaches.
Made the content. Posts, campaign graphics and the general look of the account, used to recruit volunteers and explain the programmes to people deciding whether to give an afternoon.
